The volunteer program at Finca Bellavista is a great way to do something different, take a break from your routine, and experience the Finca lifestyle and become part of the ever-growing “Finca Family”. We feel very fortunate to be able to provide opportunities to the adventurous and dedicated people from around the world that gravitate to our volunteer program.
The volunteer program is open to individuals 18 years of age and older who have an adventurous spirit, enjoy nature, and are in good physical condition. To make the most of your experience as a Finca Bellavista volunteer you must be a flexible team player, a self-motivated and independent individual, responsible and dependable, and open-minded.
Volunteers greatly contribute to the community vibe of Finca Bellavista – over and over again, guests tell us that one of their favorite aspects of a visit to Finca Bellavista is interacting with the staff, residents, and the volunteers. As a volunteer, you must be someone who is excited to interact with people from all around the world in a respectful and professional way.
The volunteer program is currently focused on enhancing guest experience to Finca Bellavista, and assisting the local staff in their day to day duties. The baseline jobs for for volunteers are hiking with new guests to their tree-house and cabin rentals, and helping the local staff in the kitchen with meal prep and clean up. Other duties include helping clean tree-houses and cabins for new visitors, gardening and groundskeeping, assisting with our daily Happy Hour, delivering meals to guests, helping out with special projects, and leading daily yoga classes.
Finca volunteers have a balanced schedule with plenty of down time and scheduled days off — perfect for exploring the Finca, practicing a hobby or learning a new skill, personal reflection time, remote work (yes, there is wifi in the jungle!), or heading off-site and exploring local areas on your days off.
As with any experience, your time volunteering at Finca Bellavista in Costa Rica will be what you make of it; you will get out what you put in to this special place.
